What is Reverse Prospecting?

So, the big question...

WHAT IS REVERSE PROSPECTING???

First off, it's awesome! It's how we are meeting people all over the world at record speeds to make new friends (mostly other network marketers) and growing our warm markets so more people are exposed to your businesses.

They will start to see your name over and over in and start to associate your name with your company and BAM! Your inbox will be flooded with new people asking about your business.

(That's the reversed part)

If you do the work and follow the system!

That's the hard part actually. Are you coachable? Can you do what we tell you? How hungry are you???

I've been in this industry for a while now, and though I love my friends and family, they totally sucked helping me get my businesses of the ground. Mostly just because they don't understand the industry or don't trust it.

So we make new friends who do understand and trust the industry. Brilliant, right??? It's a lot of fun, and you meet lots of people just like yourself that you can relate to and learn from.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, let me know and we will take the journey together.

Too Nice for MLM???

I recently have been told I am "Too Nice for MLM" and that really got me thinking...Why is that a bad thing? I have always taken pride in being nice, always being my best self and being honest with everyone. Drama-free, as I like to think.

Then there's the motto to live by...

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Right?!?

What happened to that mindset? I have made several hundred, maybe over a thousand contacts in MLM. The ones who are full of themselves and just send me a website DO NOT capture my interest. I enjoy relating to people. Finding their pains and seeing how I can help them.  Maybe they just need a shoulder to rest on, a boost of confidence, or someone to believe in them.

I have a husband, 2 small children, a home, a garden, 1 acre of property to care for, 2 online businesses, a blog, and I teach Ballroom Dance lessons on the side. I am busy, but I will always make time for the things that matter. I feel I AM hardcore, but I try to do it nicely, efficiently, and effectively. I always follow my gut. I believe it is best to give everyone the benefit of the doubt until you prove otherwise.

I have always felt like the odd-man-out and like people don't get me. And you know what? THAT'S OK!  Not everyone is worth my time. Not everyone is gonna see my perspective. But that's what makes me me. I am not lazy. I am not gullible. I am actually very smart and pay attention to EVERYTHING.

And that is why I'm a winner.

The Working Mother

As a mom, do you return to the workforce or stay home with the kids?

I sure do catch a lot of flack for not having a job outside of the home. I defend myself all of the time. It seems my day runs as follows:

Wake at noon
Mosey to the gym
Fancy Lunch
Meet with Friends
etc...

When ACTUALLY:

Wake at 6
Diaper Changes
Laundry of Soiled sheets (yuck)
All other laundry
Breakfast
Dress both children
Take an hour preparing to leave the house to go to the gym
Haul all my crap into the gym to the daycare (sometimes with shoes on my children)
Get interrupted during my workout because my kids are misbehaving
Pick up children from gym daycare
Chase my almost 4 yr old through the gym because I am too tired to contain her
Go home
Realize it only 11 am and we now have to begin CHORES!

And I haven't even begun to work my home business yet!

Yes, it mostly by my own choice that I work inside the home (and now yard) but I really would only be working to pay a childcare provider anyway. And I like being with my kids all the time...even though I may not LIKE them all the time.

But I have made a routine that includes the gym each day to allow time for myself.  In that routine I also make time for my business in the morning and at night.  So even if I do nothing else that day, I have those times allotted. We don't have to go to zoos, museums, or buy new things all the time to entertain our time either.  We keep it simple around here.

I can completely understand the internal battle that working mothers must go through.  But I do believe that money aside, we all are wired differently as to how we are going to raise our children.  Some moms are better moms when they are career women first.  For me, I would be much crabbier if i had to battle getting ready to go to daycare every morning and be late for work every day.  It just wouldn't work...but that's just me.

It would make me angry to watch someone else raise my kids. I like being in the thick of it day to day.  However, the stay at home mom does need child free moments too.  It can get lonely throughout the day, screaming and disciplining your only company. And we don't even know what quiet is anymore. Or even talking to anyone else in person or on the phone.

So the home business fits in just perfectly where I am in my life and where I will remain.  I like meeting others who are just like me and we all grow personally and professionally together. And as I've said before, we may not be able to be as time efficient as others, but we are incredible multi-taskers and will get the job done.

If you need some boost to your business, reach out to me and I'll help you however I can.

Momtreprenuer Struggles

Yes, I'm a full time mommy of 2 first, but why can't I have a successful home business too? I feel I am a natural-born leader and always push to be productive and find solutions to make life easier and more functional. So though I'm busy being a mommy, I feel bored in a sense that I want to have my own fulfilling successes in a world outside of my home; Even though I really can't afford to work outside the home.

So what do I do? Research at home jobs and businesses of course. I have internet. Might as well try to make some money from my house. I have found several ways to do it, in fact. Selling makeup or jewelry, or drop-shipping from eBay...the lists go on and on.  But I believe you need to find the business you have interest and passion for to be truly successful.

I have started coaching and training in Reverse Prospecting for 6 months now. AND I LOVE IT! I love to help people who don't know where to start on their journeys and most of the time I find people who are working full-time jobs they hate or are stay at home mommies like me. So I am able to show them that their dreams of more fulfilling lives are actually attainable. And my team is awesome because of the people it's made up of.

But here is the kicker... as a mommy, your children's needs kinda have to come first, right? People don't seems to understand that. So that's where I had to take a stand with my business and my family. Just because I cannot complete certain tasks in my business or in a certain time-frame, DOES NOT mean I am lazy or am uncoachable or will not succeed. It just means, yes, it may take me a little longer, but I have "handicaps" so to speak that I cannot ignore. I have to acknowledge these short-term limitations so I DON'T become defeated.

Maybe these are the parts of MLM and network marketing that are never supposed to be talked about. But if you fall into this category, I want you on my team and we can rise to the top together. And our kids will prosper along the way.

Every parent makes choices constantly. You have that right. I make the choice to put my children first and raise them day in and day out practically alone. But I'm building a successful business too. And I can show anyone how I do it.... www.joinstephanie.com
